FULL SPOILER-FREE REVIEW @ https://movieswetextedabout.com/happy-gilmore-2-movie-review-adam-sandler-swings-back-with-boozy-gags-big-cameos-and-90s-absurdity/ "Happy Gilmore 2 delivers exactly what it promises: a light, nostalgic, entertaining comedy, made especially for those who grew up with Adam Sandler's most ridiculous work. It doesn't reinvent the wheel, nor does it try to hide its clichés or limitations. On the contrary, it embraces the absurd, celebrates the legacy of the original with a callback-filled script, and a cast that seems to be having just as much fun as the audience. For longtime fans, it's a comforting return to the world of one of the most lovable lunatics in cinema. For everyone else, it's just another Sandler comedy - if that's not your thing, this won't change your mind. But if you miss that shamelessly dumb humor of the '90s, this sequel is like an old friend knocking on your door with a beer hidden inside a golf club." Rating: B

I always love Adam's movie which never let me down. Full of laughing and tears when watching his movie. Just watch the first 20mins and it attracts me to keep watching.

I'll keep this short and sweet. As long as you are not expecting the world, this is actually a pretty good movie. And yes, it is pretty funny. Lots of guests and callbacks and so long as you are not looking for an Oscar contender you should enjoy this. IF...you enjoyed the first movie or like AS movies in general. There was a bit of a lag for me in the final part of the movie and I founf the first half the best. But, overall, there's nothing to complain about. This may not be a movie you'll be talking about in a few years but as a good and funny popcorn flick it is pretty good.

’Happy Gilmore 2’ is actually pretty good, well it’s one I enjoyed anyway. I watched the original flick growing up and liked that too, if I’m totally truthful I think I’d marginally rank this one higher comparatively; it’s a more solid ride, whereas the original is a little iffy in more moments imo. Adam Sandler is in his element as the titular character, if there was ever one that perfectly suits Sandler it is Happy - and I mean that only as a positive. Away from the leading dude, it’s a massive cast - so many good cameos, the better ones being that amateur trio and the son of Jackass. Of those who feature a bit more, Benny Safdie is fairly amusing. Christopher McDonald is solid too. It’s nice to see many returning faces from the original, even via the snippets of those no longer with us. I also like when sports comedies bring in famous people from the sport itself, those that appear here are fun. All in all, it’s sturdy entertainment. Not all that belly laugh-y, but it is all passable. A satisfactory return for Mr. Gilmore.
